Non-linear modelling of Ferro casting ductile shear key of L-Shaped concrete blocks with epoxy joint using Midas FEA

چکیده
As cast iron with 10-15% of graphite, Ferro Casting Ductile (FCD) Iron material has better mechanical properties than the ones from Grey Cast Iron. Moreover, it is also close to Carbon Steel’s properties. Regarding this condition, FCD potential be used as a shear key, specifically, joint precast segmental concrete bridges. The objective paper study behavior applied key on wet using epoxy. To do so, three-dimensional non-linear numerical modeling Midas FEA was conducted two L-shaped blocks connected by couple representing bridge system. Between these concrete, epoxy adhesive applied. Both and keys 50% scale original geometries were used. constitutive each obtained previous test results literatures. Loading applications performed in directions, vertical load represent deck horizontal prestressing force. Load bearing capacity increases along increase load. Non-linear analysis show discrepancy comparing experimental ones, deviation reaches more 7%.
